PVC Mixer Service and Spare Parts
Support straight from the manufacturer for the whole life of your PVC mixing line: installation, commissioning, operator training, remote support and original mixer blades.

What does PVC mixer service cover?
PVC mixer service covers everything after the sale of a mixing line: installing it on site, commissioning it, training the operators, remote and on-site support when something goes wrong, and supplying original spare parts and mixer blades. Erk PVC Makine provides these services with its own team for the mixers, dosing, feeding and filtration equipment it builds.
In a PVC plant, when the mixer stops, the extruders cannot be fed. Service is therefore not something separate from the machine price; it is part of keeping the line productive.
Installation and commissioning
Our equipment is built and tested at our factory in Ulaş OSB, Ergene, Tekirdağ. On site, our team:
- Installs the mixers, dosing, filtration and feeding equipment
- Checks the connections and control signals between machines
- Commissions the line by running it with your own recipes
- Hands the line over to your operators in running condition
We install and commission in Türkiye and abroad; our lines currently run in more than 46 countries.
Preparing the site
Installation runs to plan when the site is ready. These points usually need to be settled before the equipment arrives:
- Machine layout, platforms and floor preparation
- Electrical supply points
- Cooling water connection for the cooler jacket
- Compressed air for pneumatic discharge valves and gates
- Raw material storage area and the conveying route to the extruders
We send you the information needed for this during the project, so assembly can start as soon as the equipment reaches site.
Operator training
A well-designed line pays off only when the team running it knows it well. During commissioning we train your operators in:
- Day-to-day operation of the mixer and dosing system, recipe selection and product changes
- Monitoring the heating and cooling cycle
- Daily and periodic maintenance points, including blade checks
- Common situations and first response
Remote technical support
When a fault or something unexpected happens, remote support is usually the first step. Our engineers assess the problem from information, photos and videos sent by your operators and tell them what to do. If you prefer your own team to handle jobs such as blade replacement, we guide them remotely. When needed, we send engineers on site for repairs and part replacement.
How a service request runs
- Report: you send the machine model, serial number and a short description of the problem.
- First assessment: likely causes are narrowed down from photos, videos and operator observations.
- Remote fix: if an adjustment, check or part change can be done by your team, we guide them step by step.
- Parts and site support: parts are supplied if needed, and engineers go on site when required.
- Follow-up: we suggest changes to the maintenance plan so the problem does not come back.
The more detail you give, the faster we can narrow things down. When the problem started, whether the recipe or raw materials changed, and how batch times have moved are all useful.
When is on-site service needed?
Many problems are solved with remote guidance, but in some cases an on-site inspection is faster and safer:
- Vibration, noise or heating behaviour in the mixer with no obvious cause
- Faults around the shaft, bearings or seals that need hands-on work
- Extending the line with new equipment or changing the layout
- Re-tuning the line when you move to new recipes
In these cases, please share the background in advance so the engineers arrive with the right parts and tools.
Original spare parts
Two things matter with spare parts: an exact fit and fast supply. Original parts are made to the dimensions, materials and tolerances the machine was designed with. A non-matching part may look like a saving at first, but it can come back as vibration, early wear and poorer blend quality.
Our PVC mixer spare parts range covers not only mixers but also our dosing, feeding and conveying, and sieving and filtration equipment.
What to include in a spare parts request
- Machine model and serial number (a nameplate photo helps)
- Name or photo of the part
- Dimensions of the part, where relevant
In high-output, multi-shift plants we recommend keeping your own stock of fast-wearing parts. Our engineers can advise which parts to hold.
Mixer blades: the most critical spare part
The impeller of the heating turbo mixer has the biggest influence on dry blend quality. Blade geometry directly affects heating time, energy use and the bulk density of the blend. Erk uses different geometries for rigid and plasticised PVC recipes. Original mixer blades for Erk mixers are supplied from stock.
What drives blade wear?
- Filler level: recipes with a high calcium carbonate content wear blades faster.
- Running hours: more shifts and more batches per hour mean shorter replacement intervals.
- Recipe type: rigid and plasticised PVC need different geometries; the wrong one costs performance.
Signs that blades need inspecting
- The blend takes longer to reach its target temperature
- Dry blend quality or bulk density changes
- Vibration or noise from the mixer increases
When replacing, treat the blades as a set, check balance and the heating time of the first batches after fitting, and record the date and running hours.
Periodic maintenance checklist
Planned maintenance is the most effective way to avoid unplanned stops. In general we recommend checking these points regularly:
Check point | Why it matters |
|---|---|
Blade edge wear and balance | Blend quality, shaft and bearing life |
Vessel interior and seals | Material leaks and contamination |
Discharge valve | Clean transfer between heater and cooler |
Cooler jacket and water circuit | Cooling time and blend temperature |
Filter elements | Continued moisture and dust extraction |
Sieve and conveying line | Lump removal and uninterrupted feeding |
Intervals depend on your recipes and running hours; our engineers can help you build a plan that fits your plant.
Why keep maintenance records
Logging every blade change, part replacement and fault with its date and running hours makes the next service easier to predict. Tracking heating time per batch also shows blade wear early. The same records help us find the cause faster when you raise a service request.
Upgrading an existing line
Frequent breakdowns, rising energy use and longer batch times can mean a line needs more than repair. You can add automatic dosing to an existing mixer, add moisture extraction or sieving, or replace the mixer with a larger one such as our horizontal turbo PVC mixer to gain capacity. We survey the current layout on site and design around it.
Machines from other manufacturers
We also manufacture blades for other makes of mixer: custom blades can be made to the dimensions of the existing blade and the vessel geometry, Papenmeier and Henschel type mixers in particular, with an optional tungsten carbide coating. For other parts, compatibility depends on the mixer’s design; send us the mixer details and photos of the part and our engineers will assess it.
Why service from the manufacturer?
Erk PVC Makine has built PVC mixing, dosing and feeding systems since 2015 and has taken part in more than 500 projects. Because our machines are built in our own factory, you get parts and technical information directly from the manufacturer. Projects and service requests are managed from our head office in Avcılar, İstanbul. You can also reach us through our contact page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which service options do you offer?
We provide installation, commissioning, operator training, remote technical support and spare parts. When needed, we also carry out on-site repairs and part replacement.
How often should mixer blades be replaced?
It depends on the calcium carbonate content of your recipes, running hours and recipe type. Highly filled recipes wear blades faster, so we recommend regular checks of balance and edge wear.
Are original mixer blades available from stock?
Yes. Original blades for Erk mixers are supplied from stock. Sharing your mixer model and serial number helps us ship the right part quickly.
Do you service plants outside Türkiye?
Yes. Our lines run in more than 46 countries. We ship spare parts abroad, provide remote support and send engineers on site when needed.
Can you supply parts for mixers from other manufacturers?
For mixer blades, yes: we make custom blades for other makes, Papenmeier and Henschel type mixers in particular. For other parts, compatibility depends on the mixer’s design; send us the mixer details and photos of the part and we will assess it.
